Three is a compelling number, particularly when it comes to groups. In light of the trio’s power, I wanted to think about some of my favorite groups of three. Here are some of my favorite famous trios: stories, films, shows, and more. These 30 trios show that three can be a powerful number!

Three Musketeers
The classic trio Porthos, Aramis, and Athos are from Alexander Dumas’s The Three Musketeers. The Three Musketeers have appeared in many films, but their candy bar is also something I can’t resist!
Alvin & The Chipmunks
This trio is strong in numbers, not just Alvin. Simon, Theodore, and Alvin continue to produce hit movies and songs!
Shrek the Donkey and Puss In Boots
This trio, which stunned the world with Shrek 2, still inspires. Puss in Boots has just released another film, proving that this trio isn’t going anywhere soon.
Bella, Jacob, and Edward
These Twilight characters were a pivotal trio of the mid-2000s. They inspired many riffs and rivalries, even amongst the closest friends. This shows how love triangles, or trios, can cause division.
The Powerpuff Girls
Bubbles, Blossom, and Buttercup are Professor Utonium’s daughters. They represent sugar, spice, and everything excellent. These three girls have been protecting Townsville against the evil Mojojo since 1990.
The Fates
This is a must-read for Greek mythology fans. The Fates or Moirai (Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos) decided the fate of many Greek Heroes. The Roman equivalent is the Parcae.
Percy, Annabeth, and Grover
These three characters are from Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson Series. They have many adventures that involve gods, tragedy, and heroism. You can trust this trio with your celestial adventures!
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May
They began their careers at BBC Top Gear. This trio is for car lovers!
Harry, Hermione, and Ron
This trio of wizards has captivated the world for decades, first with their books. Later, they expanded their influence to films, amusement parks, and even worlds beyond Hogwarts. The movie features Daniel Radcliffe as the titular character, along with Rupert Grint and Emma Watson.
Huey Dewey and Louie
They are Donald Duck’s famous nephews, and they always cause trouble. The three ducks are currently the hosts of Duck Tales, causing a lot of trouble!
Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke
The Naruto series has a rich history. Its anime spans over 500 episodes. Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto, who are known for their turbulent relationships, are a well-known trio.
Leif, Barda and Jasmine
These three popular characters are the main characters in Deltora Quest. These three often stick together despite meeting many other friends and enemies in their adventures.
The Jonas Brothers
The brothers were heartthrobs in their teens and have released five studio albums. Joe, Nick, and Kevin have returned to the stage after a long hiatus. They are the trio that the world loves.
Max Russo, Alex Russo, Justin Russo
The Disney Channel show of these wizards topped the list for four seasons, with crossover movies from other shows. These three siblings had moments but are still a great trio.
Kim Possible, Ron Stoppable, and Rufus
In the early 2000s, two humans and a molerat were the game’s three main characters. Kim, Ron, and Rufus fight against the evil Dr. Drakken to keep the world safe!

Three face cards are standard in a 52-card deck with four suits. They can make a great addition to any hand.
Snap, Crackle, and Pop
The three characters below are the mascots for Rice Krispies Cereal. Their names are based on a 1930s promotional, and they’re all onomatopoeias.
Luke, Leia and Han Solo
This classic trio will take us through the Star Wars Universe from the original trilogy. Since then, the world they created has been expanded into many movies, rides at theme parks, and animated shows that people enjoy today!
Red, Yellow, blue
Artists of all ages use these three colors to create their primary color palette. These three colors are the basis for secondary colors like Orange, Green, and Purple and can significantly impact shading.
Charlie’s Angels
The three women are the members of an elite team of agents led by a boss over the phone, Charlie. The original Angels were Kate Jackson, Jaclynsmith, and Farrah Majors.

This famous trio, consisting of brothers Barry, Maurice, and Robin, was the soundtrack for many during the 1960s, 1970s, and beyond. The trio keeps “Staying Alive” with their hits and strength together!

This trio of friends was a staple on Cartoon Network during the early 2000s. They caused havoc with their friends in their neighborhood. This is a classic combination because who doesn’t like a group of friends with matching names?

Motorhead’s members, Larry Wallis, Lemmy Kilmister, and Lucas Fox, are often called the “godfathers” of heavy metal. They were a three-piece for 40 years and released 23 studio albums.
