A couple of lesbians on TikTok have been debating whether they should keep together after the shocking discovery that they might be half-sisters.
Canadian couple Carley Gonschior and Mercedes Stewart claim to have discovered their mother and sister had been sleeping with the same man for two years of being together.
“When you discover two years later that both of your moms have been sleeping with the same person,” they said in a now-viral TikTok clip.
In a subsequent TikTok message the following day (20 July), the couple said they had placed an order for DNA tests and hoped to receive the results in just a couple of weeks.
“When they show up you must spit into the tube, then send the tube off. It’s a couple of weeks procedure,” Carley said.

The duo has a popular YouTube channel and a TikTok account with more than 618,000 users and have been criticized for claiming they might remain together even if DNA evidence suggests they’re connected.
A couple of lesbians posted a question in a comment asking whether it was wrong to be in a relationship “if we’re connected.” Still, one person pointed out incest is a crime in Canada, even if they don’t have children.
However, the subject is more divided than one might imagine, with one person declaring: “The only problem is society. There is no way to have children and have issues, so what problems could cause.”
Another person responded to several positive remarks with: “Are you serious? You are trying to justify the INCEST?”
Many of Gonschior Stewart’s followers simply laughed at the fact that they appeared very similar.
“No I don’t know the identity of these people and at first I believed you were sisters prior to reading the article,” one TikTok user stated.
Another one of the comments was: “You mean you guys didn’t realize you were siblings already? It’s basically the same facial features.”
