Myles Russell finished his U.S. junior amateur tour on Friday and returned home early, as did Charlie Woods, who finished tied for 22nd on Tuesday and did not qualify for the final. A similar fate followed Miles Russell before the semifinals.

Russell triumphed on holes 12 and 15 of the quarterfinals, but was overtaken by Jay Leng Jr. on the final three holes. The golfer advanced to the quarterfinals of the U.S.

In the first round, he scored five birdies on the first, sixth, seventh, twelfth and eighteenth holes, but made four bogeys for a score of 68. In the next round, he had 5 birdies,

4 bogeys and 1 double bogey on the 12th hole for a score of 71, but the round of 16 was tied and Russell won. Russell won the 12th and

15th holes in the quarterfinals but lost the final three holes to Jay Len Jr., who advanced through four stages of the tournament to reach the quarterfinals of the U.S. Junior Amateur. The first phase was stroke play, where Myles Russell’s total was 1 under.

In the first round, he made five birdies on holes 1, 6, 7, 12 and 18. He had four bogeys for a score of 68. He had five birdies in the next round.

In the round of 16, Russell beat Billy Davis, 14-19. After the round ended, Russell was counted at 2. Then came the round of 16, where Russell again defeated CJ Winchemabaugh 14-35. At the end of the match the score was 2-2 again.

He eventually advanced to the quarterfinals, where he faced Jay Lang and lost 14-38.

In the semi-finals, Trevor Gutczewski faced Sijuang Chang and won the match. Tyler Watts also faced Jay Lang, with the former winning to advance to the final against Gutczewski.
