JUST IN:Former world youth darts champion Leighton Bennett has been suspended after suspicious betting patterns were reported in four of his matches… full details 👇🏼👇🏼

The boy was suspended along with Billy Wariner for allegedly breaching Darts Regulatory Authority (DRA) rules.

As a result of the decision, Bennett and Wariner are banned from taking part in or competing in any DRA-regulated events until the hearing has been completed and the matter has been determined.

Both players have the right to appeal the disqualification.

Bennett, 18, became the BDO Youth champion in 2019 at the age of 13,

making her the youngest player to ever win the title. That same year he beat darts legend Phil Taylor, who won his card in a PDC

professional event earlier this year and has vowed to give the prize money to World Championship runner-up Luke Littler.

Bennett’s suspension relates to four games he played over two days in the Modus Super Series in September 2023 with Mindaugas Barauskas (twice),

Benjamin Drouet-Reus and Ryan Harrington. There is no suggestion that any other players were in any way involved in the games in question.
