Darts legend Phil Taylor was set to feature in the World Seniors Masters later this year, but will now not play in that tournament after recently undergoing hip surgery
Phil Taylor was forced to leave the masters of the world of the elderly who would be his last tournament, because he had trouble recovering from hip surgery.
Taylor won 16 world championships during his professional career, but resigned in 2018 after losing the final of the world cross championship -cross. He made his return to competitive darts at the 2022 World Masters Darts Championship.
Power was hoping to officially reclaim his legendary run at the Masters World Darts Championship in November. But after undergoing hip surgery this summer, Taylor admitted he can no longer play.

The Stoke-born star was a dominant darts player for much of his career, winning the Premier League six times and leading England to World Cup glory four times. In total, he won 214 professional titles,
including a record 85 Grand Slam titles. His success led to him being nominated for the BBC Sports Personality of the
Year award in 2006 and 2010, and coming in as runner-up in the latter year. As well as the title, Taylor also broke numerous records, including becoming the first man to score two
nine-darters in the same game. In January, Taylor suffered an early defeat in his final appearance at the World Masters Darts Championship, losing
3–2 to Manfred Bilderl of Germany. Taylor fought back from two deficits to win the next two sets and take the match to a deciding match, which Bilderl won to progress to the second round.
