FormalCasualProfessionalWittyThe Dartmouth bells begin to chime this week as the top 32 players on the European Tour’s Order of Merit gather at Westphalia Hall for the final major tournament on the road to Ally Pally.
Those who haven’t followed the European Tour season’s 13 events closely, which have seen nine different winners over that time, may be surprised to learn that Martin Schindler beat Luke Humphries and Luke Littler to come in first place.
Schindler put in a remarkable performance campaign at last weekend’s Czech Republic Open, which saw him take first place in the 13 events of the European Tour’s season.
Schindler made history by becoming the first German to win two European Tour events and the first German to lift the trophy abroad. His many honors during the campaign helped him to lead the Order of Merit.
