EIGHT Southend United players took part in an entertaining darts tournament to raise funds for South East and Central Essex Mind.

Tone:FormalCasualProfessionalWittyAdam Crowther, Joe Gubbins, Nathan Ralph, Oli Coker, Gus Scott-Morris, Jack Bridge, Harry Taylor and George Moncur all played in the final in front of a packed Chalkwell Park Room.It was Bridge who won the final, beating Scott Morris 3–1. “It was a really good night for a good cause,” Bridge said.”It’s a shame that it’s something that has affected the club with players in the past and it’s great to be able to organise nights like this to raise money.”The National League darts night, which featured players, took place this week ahead of Mental Health Day and was brilliantly commentated by Dan Weidner. Players chose their own exit music while jerseys were also provided by Darts Corner.The event, sponsored by JSL Window Cleaning Services, raised £2,600, but the total amount has not yet been calculated. The darts tournament followed Southend United’s Match for Mind against Maidenhead on Saturday
